  • 2026 Playoffs

The 2026 playoffs are officially underway at Ball Arena – and this year’s lighting package is one of our most ambitious yet. This is how it all started…

I’ve been fascinated with stage lighting since I first noticed strip lights on a cafeteria ceiling in elementary school. That curiosity led me to take a theatre class in middle school, where I began exploring the technical side of production. By high school, I had access to more advanced resources and gained hands-on experience, including working with early moving lights. During that time, I also picked up work with a local production company providing A/V support for school events.

In 2012, I began interning with Brown Note Productions in Thornton, CO, and was hired the following year as a warehouse coordinator. In 2017, I spent the summer as a lighting technician at Hudson Gardens before joining Clearwing Productions that fall, following the opening of their Denver location. At Clearwing, I worked as a warehouse manager and later transitioned into shipping/receiving and inventory control, developing a strong foundation in large-scale production logistics, inventory systems, and equipment management.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I supported community efforts by working on pop-up testing and vaccination sites.

Currently, I work with Rhino Staging, primarily serving as a house lighting technician at Ball Arena. I regularly operate grandMA2 for the Colorado Mammoth, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche, and continue to support a wide range of live events throughout the Denver area.

In addition to live event work, I provide independent lighting consultation and system design services for venues and organizations. My consulting work focuses on practical, scalable solutions—balancing performance, budget, and long-term usability. This includes fixture selection, rigging and power planning, control system design (MA, ETC, and software-based solutions), and detailed documentation such as Vectorworks drawings and load analysis. I typically collaborate with integrators and installation teams to ensure systems are implemented cleanly and function as intended in real-world environments.
